The Company

RT Software is a developer and provider of graphics products to the broadcast and Sports Professional (SP) industry. Founded by former BBC developers in 2004, we have over 20 years experience in the business. We are involved in leading edge graphics development with mainstream broadcasters from around the world as well as providing telestration products to Elite Professional Sports Clubs and National Federations.

What defines us is our ability to add graphics to video clips to highlight action or explain gameplay. Our products for the sports professional market have evolved from the original top-end analysis tools, used on-air, to encompass much easier to use analysis tools. We are proud to have worked alongside some of the biggest names in the sports professional world to create these tools.

During the last years we have developed our Tactic suite of products: Lite, Advanced, Scout and Pro, to cater to the needs of every level of coaching and performance analysis from amateur to the highest professional level. Today, more than 150 Clubs and National Federations around the world use our products.

Overview

The role of DACH Account Manager at RT Software focuses mainly to draw on your expertise and impressive contact network to sell our Tactic line of products to Football clubs and National Federations, primarily within the German speaking market in Europe. You will also be responsible for sales to German speaking coaching staff and analysts based abroad.

About You

Ideally, you have a background (at least five years) either in performance analysis or a commercial role (at least two years) selling into elite football coaching staffs in the region. You need to be disciplined, have an attention to detail and be agile under pressure. You should be able to work alone or within a team and be willing to learn new skills.

You should have a genuine interest in all technical aspects of telestration and workflows used by analysts and coaches to prepare pre and post-match presentations. Experience with telestration and/or match tagging tools (ie. Paint, Sportscode, Nacsport, etc.) would be a requirement.

You need to have good communication skills and abilities to learn how to demonstrate Tactic on your own.

The role will involve some travel, mainly within the area and on specific occasions worldwide.

Reporting to:

Head of Sports Professional Market

Liaise with:

  • Sales team to ensure good progress of demos and trials. Research of new contacts.
  • Marketing team to assist with mailing, marketing, and social media campaigns
  • Product specialist on the creation of league packages, training material and to coordinate onboarding and training sessions.

Main Tasks of the Job

  • Agreeing with the Commercial Director and Head of SP market on Sales targets.

  • Creating and implementing a compelling sales strategy to deliver on projected growth.

  • Identifying, tracking and following up on all pipeline opportunities, and making full use of the company’s sales CRM systems.

  • Provide accurate reporting and forecasting.

  • Have an understanding of the industry Tactic operates in, its competitors’ products, and how their products compare to Tactic. Use this knowledge to help ensure RT Software’s products remain relevant and leading edge.

  • Collect feedback from users and trialists about useful feature/graphic requests and market trends. Liaise with the Tactic SP Product Specialist to get these requests implemented in the software.

  • To present a professional image to customers at all times in appearance, attitude and work.

  • Attend (mainly remotely) regular Company meetings.

Education

Either a Degree level in Sports Science or Sports/Performance Analysis. Ideally involving telestration, match tagging and pre/post match analysis workflows in general. Alternatively, Business Development Manager qualifications or demonstrable experience on the field.

Experience/Required Skills

We have a set of ‘core’ skill requirements which you MUST possess and then a set of additional skills that you should have some experience with, at a professional level.

Core Experience and Skills:

  • Good user level on Mac OS products.

  • Basic knowledge of telestration tools.

  • Basic knowledge of match tagging products such as Sportscode, Angles, Nacsport, Focus, etc.

  • Good knowledge of Pre and Post Match analysis workflows.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook suite of products, in particular Outlook, Word and Excel

  • Native German speaker or fluent at professional level, both written and spoken

  • Fluent in English

Advantageous:

  • Medium user level knowledge of Windows OS products.

  • Knowledge of a CRM system, preferably Act.

Interview process:

  • Selected candidates will be interviewed by the Head of Sports Professional Market

  • Shortlisted candidates will have two follow-up interviews. One with our Product Specialist plus our Business Development Manager. The last one with our Commercial Director plus our Head of Sports Professional Market
